Autistic burnout or autism burnout is a significant challenge faced by many in the neurodivergent community, yet it’s often misunderstood. It’s a state of physical and mental exhaustion triggered by prolonged stress, sensory overload, and societal pressure, especially when we try to meet overwhelming expectations.

From brain fog to the daily pressures of navigating society, autistic burnout presents unique hurdles. In this video, I’ll break down the strategies that have helped me, and I hope they can help you too.

For clarification, while I believe neurodivergent burnout affects many, autistic burnout has been more extensively researched than other forms of neurodivergent burnout. Societal factors play a significant role.
