Joined by my dad ‪@overthehillwildcamper‬, we decided to make the most of the light nights and headed for The Cheviots. Arriving at around 4.30pm, we set off from Hethpool in the College Valley for the 4 mile ascent to Hare Law.

Once we arrived we pitched our shelters in stronger winds than expected, I was in my trusty MLD Trailstar and my Dad was in his Durston X-Mid 2p. We then hunkered down in the stone shelter and I cooked liver, onions and bacon on the Trangia 25.

After a great nights sleep, despite a very gusty and rainy night, we woke to a glorious spring morning.
