Our day in the Elan Valley started with a tour of Pen y Garreg dam.
Welsh Water have open days on Tuesday's in August (and other times of the year) where you can explore inside the dam. Check the website for details if you are interested https://elanvalley.org.uk/visit/events

After exploring the dam we did a beautiful 10km walk along the Garreg Ddu reservoir, through some lovely broad leaf woodland stopping to explore some old mines before climbing over the hill and back to Pennygarreg Reservoir.
