Watch this webinar to learn how to create an effective CDFI loan policy. A CDFI’s loan policy is a board-approved document that describes how the organization defines risk and guides staff in mitigating that risk while maximizing mission fulfillment.

The CDFI Loan Policy Toolkit is designed to help CDFIs create, refresh, or rewrite their loan policy. Comprising a Loan Policy Guide and sample templates for loan policies and other related documents, the toolkit walks you through the key elements of a complete loan policy, providing context and direction on each element. In this webinar you’ll hear from one of the lead contributors on what’s in the toolkit and how best to use it, as well as two CDFI practitioners with deep experience in developing and modifying loan policies.

While designed specifically for CDFI loan funds, the Loan Policy Toolkit can also be adapted for CDFI banks, credit unions, and venture funds.
