Yamaha VSTAR 1100 Computer Assisted Carb Jetting & Tuning with an LM2 Computer

Many people have asked for this video so Ive finally put it together. I demonstrate the installation of the LM2 kit onto this VSTAR 1100, Note a small modification into the exhaust for this. Though not necessary with another attachment. Ill go over all of the parts and pieces before a step by step of the temporary installation. I have a port which Ive added onto my bike making it easier for the ignition pule to be added to the cable from this kit.

Because I have the single sensor kit, I will have to do the test twice Had I known at the time, having a vstar I would have both the dual kit to do both carbs at the same time. Finishing the wiring, a quick smoke test confirms everything is ready to go. The calibration step is demonstrated for the video.

Lastly in the install the O2 bung is removed for the first pipe and the O2 sensor installed. My helmet cam will capture the bike on video to match the data. I do not have throttle position captured at this time.

The LM-2 is a great kit, sadly their software is terrible, and only supports windows. they put little effort into the software.

The first run looks good, a bit rich on wide open but nothing alarming for this podkit. I switch to the other cylinder.

A close match to the first cylinder on the first run, both could benefit from a needle shim removal.

These changes would be made and the runs re-conduced for evaluation.
