Hello everyone! In today's beginners belly dance tutorial video we're going to be covering how to do a belly dance Egyptian Walk / Hagallah!

To break the Egyptian Walk / Hagallah down, we need to start by using our Hip Snaps and Hip Bumps

See my video on How To Do a HIP SNAP here:
   • How To Do a Hip Snap | Belly Dance Tu...

We'll start by taking a step forward on the right and using our hip snap to push our hip down as we step, we'll then use our hip bump to push our weight onto the right. Using our hip lift, we'll squeeze the hip up on the left with our leg lifted about to take a step forward. Then step on the left and push the hip down as we step, and again bump the hip forward so your weight is on the left too. Lift the hip on the right and raise the right leg and repeat the whole process again! Keep practising this one, it can take a few attempts to get the movements down. Once you feel confident with the hip and step actions you can start to increase the speed :)

Subscribe to my channel to get your weekly belly dance tutorials, and leave me a comment to let me know how you're getting on with your belly dance practise and also let me know if there are any tutorials you'd like to see!

If you're a beginner at belly dancing, you may find the moves challenging at first but don't worry the more you practise the easier they'll get! Practise with this video a few times and before long you'll have your Egyptian Walk mastered. Now – find a space to dance, grab your favourite hip scarf, and lets get practising :)
