Part I | 2024 Shrimping | Prince William Sound | Whittier, Alaska

Описание к видео Part I | 2024 Shrimping | Prince William Sound | Whittier, Alaska

Every year we launch the boat out of Whittier, Alaska and spend around 10 days shrimping, fishing, and exploring Prince William Sound.

We got extremely lucky this year with some INCREDIBLE weather, opposed to last year when it hung around 32°F and RAINED the entire time (and we mean down poured).

This is the first of three videos we will be posting from our stay in the sound this year, followed by Part 2 which will focus on our time exploring and Part 3 which will highlight another full day setting and pulling shrimp pots!

For those of you who haven't been fortunate enough to try these bad boys, THEY ARE GOOD! (even raw!) The best way we have found for cooking them is to get a pan nice and warm at about medium, maybe a little higher, add some butter, garlic, and whatever other seasoning y'all are into (we use a small bit of Old Bay), dump them in the pan and flip them after about 3 minutes. They don't take long to cook, and unlike the shrimp you're used to eating they're naturally pink so you'll only be able to see a slight color change where the translucent part becomes a bit more white. You can do this with or without the shells, for us it depends if Bailey will take the shells off first 😉. Check out our instagram for more cooking inspo!!

Thanks for watching
