Caritas Syria helped over 200,000 people last year and plans to aid even more in 2015 if it can raise the necessary funds. As one of the only independent aid agencies operating in the country, Caritas Syria works in six regions: Damascus, Aleppo, Homs, Littoral, Horan and Jasiré. Caritas Syria helps people through programmes which provide food, medical assistance, educational support, help with paying rent, help of the elderly and counselling.
