A Bite of 'Boipara' Documentary | 2015 Kolkata

College Street or ‘Boipara’ is one of the most popular locations in Kolkata. It is known far and wide for its numerous book stalls stretched across a canvas reminiscent of Old Calcutta. However, the identity of College Street isn’t only confined to its books. It expands to its buildings, residents and establishments which are rich in their cultural heritage. Often overlooked, these establishments’ bear witness to a social and cultural transformation; the most notable of them being food establishments which have been around for a long time. This short documentary sheds light on their past, changes and plans for the future.
