Once you begin to question the money, you question everything around money - and so my journey down the Bitcoin rabbit hole naturally led me to question the foods I eat.
I had a small laundry list of health problems that were beginning to accumulate - vitamin deficiencies, low back pain (chronic inflammation), anemia, poor circulation - I instinctively felt like they were related but doctors only wanted to treat them separately with drugs. I refused. I decided to do my own research and eventually made my way to discovering Sally K Norton’s work around oxalates. I always cooked Mediterranean meals for myself, but for the past five years I tended towards a vegetarian diet incorporating more “healthy superfoods” including spinach, beets, sweet potatoes, nuts, dark chocolate, chia seeds, quinoa, turmeric, and green tea.
While I believed I was improving my health, Sally’s work made me realize I had essentially spent the last 5 years unintentionally self-poisoning with an oxalate-heavy diet. My vitamin deficiencies have greatly improved and my low back pain disappeared after I eliminated these foods from my diet - while managing oxalate dumping symptoms as we discuss in the video.
This entire experience made me question:
Why are these foods specifically being recommended by governments and the media?
Why are women so compelled towards oxalate-heavy diets?
Why are we being encouraged to self-poison?
I look at these questions with Sally through the economic lens because of my interest in Bitcoin, as well as the western spiritual lens since most of us are vegans and vegetarians consuming diets high in these foods robbing us of nutrients, vitamins, minerals, and of our overall vitality and self-sovereignty.
