It was the 210th anniversary celebration of the Battle of Leipzig (1813) in 2023. With approximately 2,000 reenactors from all over Europe, we recreated the battle and had a lot of fun doing so.

The Battle of Leipzig, also known as the Battle of Nations, took place from October 16 to 19, 1813, during the Napoleonic Wars. It was one of the largest battles of the 19th century and was fought between Napoleon's forces and a coalition of various European countries, including Russia, Prussia, Austria, and Sweden.

Why are we wearing British uniforms but are speaking German?
Well, the King's German Legion (KGL) was a unit of German-speaking soldiers who served in the British Army during the Napoleonic Wars. It was established in 1803 and fought on the side of Great Britain against Napoleon Bonaparte. The KGL distinguished itself in battles such as the Battle of Waterloo and played a significant role in the coalition wars against Napoleon until its dissolution in 1816.
