SharePoint and OneDrive are not the same thing.

SharePoint is a collaboration application allowing team members to easily access, store, and collaborate in real-time on Office documents like Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. In addition, SharePoint lets you create attractive web pages displaying information like news, events, and links.

In contrast, OneDrive is meant to be a user’s personal filing cabinet, your personal storage space. Only you can access what's in there. And the only content you can store in OneDrive are files and folders.

You can still share files from OneDrive, but if you want to collaborate with others, SharePoint is the better choice.
