OIL PRESSURE Gauge Repair DISASTER

Описание к видео OIL PRESSURE Gauge Repair DISASTER

I've been meaning to fix the oil pressure gauge in my 1976 Corvette for quite some time, but removing the gauge cluster is such a PITA, I've been avoiding that project.

But today was the right time, or so I thought.

In hindsight, doing ANY big job in a 100+ degree garage is foolish, but it's obvious my parents raised a fool so I decided to go ahead with it.

It actually went fairly well, for the most part, until I started testing things before buttoning everything up. And it's a good thing I did because the "new" oil pressure gauge worked even worse than the original, so I tried using a different resistor and that helped a little, but not enough, so I reinstalled the original gauge with the "new" resistor and I am basically back to Square One!

Oh, and I managed to slice the tip of my finger which now hurts pretty bad as I use this keyboard. And then, after everything was reinstalled, I realized I failed to plug the windshield wiper switch, so half of the console had to come apart again.

When it rains...

Thank you for watching! 🙂👍🏻
