Hi all
We were reminded that we have not put up a jalebi recipe on the channel after a visit to Fordsburg a couple weeks back. We did some recipe testing and eventually found a recipe that works for us and is quick and straightforward! So here it is, just in time for Raksha Bhandan coming up in a few weeks.

Ingredients
2 cups cake flour, sieved
2 tbs oil
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
4 tbs yoghurt
1 tsp egg yellow colouring
1 cup water plus additional for dough

For syrup
3 cups sugar
175ml water
4-6 elaichi (cardamom) pods
juice of half a lemon

Serve hot with a nice cup of milk!
