I turned Serviceberry (or Juneberries) into a syrup using a Korean Technique call Cheong with is done by combining equal weight sugar and fruit.
This batch took about three months but your results may vary.

Recipe:
150 grams Serviceberries
150 grams Cane Sugar

Granola Recipe:
1/4 to 1/2 cup Cashews (unsalted)
1 cup rolled oats
2 TBSP Cheong
1 TBSP Coconut oil
