Kayaking to Turnip Rock in Lake Huron

Описание к видео Kayaking to Turnip Rock in Lake Huron

I set out before sunrise and spend a calm day on the waters of Lake Huron paddling my kayak from Port Austin to Turnip Rock and the Port Austin Lighthouse. This is a trip I've wanted to do for a long time now and the experience has been one of my favorite Michigan adventures.

This trip is ideal in calm waters as the round trip for me ended up being almost 9 miles if you include a trip out to the lighthouse which sits 1.5 miles offshore.

Even if you don't have your own kayak, Port Austin Kayak rents them out and is also a good judge of if the lake is too rough to paddle.

I'd love to hear about your own adventure if you've been able to do this trip on your own. Comment down below! And don't forget to Like and Subscribe!
