How to Fit 1660's Bodies/Stays: 17th Century Corsetry Tips!

Описание к видео How to Fit 1660's Bodies/Stays: 17th Century Corsetry Tips!

Fiting corsets, stays and bodies is the hardest part of the process--and even more difficult when you're trying to fit a bodice from the most under-represented, under-appreciated, "Black Hole" of historical costuming- the 17th century!

But fear not, my friends, in this video, I'll walk you step by step through the process of fitting a 1660's bodice, from talking about what we're actually looking for in an ideal fit, to showing how to apply our knowledge on something round and squishy (aka, muh body.) When all is said and done, fitting 1660's bodies is no different from fitting stays, or from fitting corsets--it's just that the silhouette is different!

This is the second and most detailed part of my mockup process for my 1660's gown. My wearable mockup video, and the first portion of the process, can be found here:    • Making a Selkie-Inspired Gown for $4!
