Описание к видео Mizutani Scissors - Precision Cut & Textured Bob using SWORD W02, ACRO ZD4, and SWORD DB20

One of our finalists for our #ICUTWITHMIZUTANI competition from 2019. This video entry is from Kawada Hair Studio, a fantastic and very skilled cutter and colourist, currently based in Sydney, Australia. The idea of the video was to show how you use your Mizutani Scissors.

About the Cut
1. Using your comb on wet hair to pull the hair down straight, cut a straight, blunt line in line with the jaw line, but maintaining length.
2. Bring down your sections and use your base lines to guide you creating the same blunt line the whole way around the head
3. Dry the hair. Here Kawada is using the Y.S. Park Soft dragon brush, which will dry the hair straight.
4. Using the ACRO ZD4, pick up the outer layers of the hair and thin out the hair underneath. Doing this will give the hair a more refined form which will compliment the face and add more dimension and shadow to your finished result.
5. Bring your blunt cutting scissor back, in this case the SWORD W02, and refine that blunt line of your bob again.
6. Create some internal and light texture to the hair, doing this will make it easier to style and give the hair some natural layers and grip resulting in bringing some volume to the hair ends without leaving any bulk by point cutting into the mid-outer layers of the hair
7. Working with the clients face shape and current fringe, trim the original fringe bluntly, and slide cut down the sides to frame the face and tie in the blunt lines from the fringe, into the bob.
8. This client is lucky enough to have some super thick hair, so removing some bulk all around to finish off the cut will add movement and texture.
9. Adding some waves to the hair with a straightening iron and voila!

About the Scissors
1. The SWORD Wood handle, this is a blunt and precision cutting scissor. The blades are heavy and the blade edge is designed to give you a strong and sharp cut. This scissor is great for precision cutting, the handle is designed to fit snuggly in the hands giving you lots of control. This scissor is great for cutting on dry hair, the power behind the blades will help you capture the hair and cut without pushing hair away. The insides of the blades closest to the bearing system will be great for slide cutting, with the weight of the blades helping you.

2. The ACRO ZD4 is a dual blade thinning scissor. The dual blade action with feel like you are cutting hair with a comb, these are super smooth and effortless to use. The ACRO ZD4 has a cut ratio of 15%, so ideally these are for removing bulk and refining styles. This scissor also comes in ACRO ZD6 which has a cut ratio of 25%

3. The SWORD DB20. This is a great all-rounder model suitable for barbering and hairdressing. A blunt cutting scissor that again features the Sword handle which is designed for giving you that precision cut feeling. The DB20 is one of those easy to understand and use scissors. What you see if what you get. Sharp, straight blunt lines with a nice pointed tip for precision work.
