Hi everyone. My name is Rebecca with VoIP Supply and today we are going to be taking a look at the Tone Commander by Patton 7810 IP phone. It is made in the USA and we are going to take it out of the box, get it all set up, and review the features and functionality. So let's get started.
All right, so let's open this box and see what we have inside. Of course, the Tone Commander 7810 IP phone by Patton, the handset, the cord, and the cord. So, let's get this plugged in and see the features and functionality of this phone.
All right, so first we are going to plug in the cable and plug in the cord for the handset. So taking a look at the back of the phone, you'll notice that the base is already attached, but of course, this is removable. The ports that we have down here is PC and Network, and then, over here is for the phone, and over here is for a headset.
So this one I'm going to plug into the network here, plug it into our wall. Then we'll plug this one into the phone jack and set this up like so. And there we go. So now that we have the phone plugged in, you'll notice the indicator light turns red to show that it is turning on.
And a couple features that we can point out right now before we dive into the specifics. You've got your four soft keys here, the log button, set up, info, and directory. You've got 10 multifunction keys on the sides of the screen. You'll notice that the screen says currently that it's starting up, but since it's not fully connected to our network in here, you're not going to see it completely turn on and give all the information that you typically would if it was already connected to your network.
Down here you'll see your speakerphone, your mute, and volume up and down. Of course, your number keys, they're all pretty big so they feel comfortable when you're pressing them. Your headset button, if you decide to put a headset in, voicemail, hold, drop, conference, or transfer. And then your navigation buttons are very nice and easy to press to go up and down and select. And so let's take a look at a little bit more of what this phone has to offer.
The Tone Commander by Patton, the 7810 IP phone is an executive-level dusk phone that's designed for government, military, and commercial power users. This phone can be powered over ethernet or with a local power supply. An optional 8030x expansion module increases the number of feature and speed dial keys to 40, offering rapid access to the numbers and features that you use the most.
This phone is made in the USA, it has 19 hard buttons, a 320 x 240-pixel display, a full duplex speaker phone with the option to mute, automatic line selection, user selectable ring tone per line, a hundred entry call log with integrated speed dialing, and a hundred entry call directory with speed dialing as well.
