STORYLINE
Thai Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra was leading a 100-strong business delegation to China for high-level talks aimed at shoring up ties.
On Tuesday, Yingluck met with Chinese counterpart Wen Jiabao for discussions expected to touch on high-speed rail and other infrastructure development projects.
Shinawatra was due to meet with President Hu Jintao on Wednesday.
China is Thailand''s largest export market and second-largest source of imports. Bilateral trade hit 64.7 (b) billion US dollars last year, according to Chinese statistics.
Political ties are cordial.
Thailand joined with China, Myanmar, and Laos last year in conducting joint security patrols on the Mekong River following attacks on shipping.
