Children's Sermon Lesson 2 Samuel 7:1-17 God's Says Wait

Sometimes we wonder why God does things the way He does, and there will likely be things we don’t understand. Like any good parent, the Lord provides what we need, although perhaps not in the way or timing we’d want. This message looks at the story of God’s promise to King David. It’s a great reminder that we can trust God’s plans for us. Sometimes He tells us “no” or “wait,” but He always has our best interests in mind and has a purpose for our lives. He keeps His promises and grants us great blessings!

Originally a California native, Kristin has a master's in teaching from Biola University, as well as a master's in theology and a DCE certificate from Concordia Irvine. She spent several years in Georgia before being called to Colorado. She is overjoyed to be the mother of Samuel and wife of Colten, who also serves full-time at Risen Savior as Worship Director. In addition to enjoying her dream vocation, she also loves running, baking, music, history, and strong coffee.
