The Story of the Forsaken Thicket

In the year 1328 After Exodus, the death of Mordremoth caused an eruption of magic that permeated throughout the land reaching far to various locations in and around the Maguuma Jungle. In the northern reaches of Verdant Brink, a squad of Pact soldiers was on a recon mission in the area looking for Modrem activity and found an unusual location that had hints of human activity and construction. They traveled through a pass and into a vale, setting camp for the night with the plans to investigate the area come dawn. For many of those soldiers, that was their last evening.

This is my telling of the story of the Forsaken Thicket, the first raid in Guild Wars 2. Have you ever been interested in what happens in Spirit Vale, Salvation Pass, or the Stronghold of the Faithful? Sit back and enjoy the story of the first three raid wings in the game. While we won't discuss every minute detail, such as the details of every journal scrap across the map, we do cover the comprehensive story that occurs as a squad of adventurers respond to the cry for aid of a Pact Recon Squad.

This is my first time creating a video like this. I do feel really good about it. However, like everything I make, I feel like it's not great. I definitely realize the room for improvement that I have with these videos. I believe the biggest issue is the quality of recording in-game raid content. Where it's difficult to not only record high-quality footage while full-clearing raids but you are also navigating a raid with 9 other people. Recording audio channels in this game is also incredibly difficult given the few settings we have for them.
