President Benigno S. Aquino III was officially welcomed by South Korean President Park Geun-Hye at the Grand Garden of the Blue House, which is the official residence and executive office of South Korea's head of state.

The two-day state visit was upon the invitation of the newly installed President Park since she has identified the Philippines as one of three countries, besides Vietnam and Indonesia, as the target of her government's intensified cooperation especially in the economic area.

The two leaders will be exchanging a renewal of commitment to mutually help each other and discuss bilateral issues like military cooperation, tourism, trade and investments, official development assistance and people-to-people contact.

The President formally signed the Blue House guest book before proceeding to a meeting with President Park.
