Exploring deep down in the old abandoned quarry

Old New England granite quarry that was abandoned almost 100 years ago. This location went out of business during the great depression of the 1930's as so many places did. New England has so much history and you never know what you will see or find when exploring. I walked a small section of the old railroad tracks where they would load the granite on to trains. Then I followed the old service road that brought me right out to the piles and pits. this place is crazy with huge sections or rock cut right of the earth. Some signs of people working here long ago before it was deserted. Impressive big iron hooks anchored in the stones. A good hike and interesting place to visit.
