Teardrop Sommerso Melt and Pour Soap Making Introducing Trough Stopping

Описание к видео Teardrop Sommerso Melt and Pour Soap Making Introducing Trough Stopping

This soap was constructed from flat sheets of soap. No curved molds were used. This is my second attempt at making Sommerso glass-like soap and I decided to work with Melt and Pour soap as I develop new techniques since it is similar to my translucent soap but much more forgiving (you can remelt mistakes and remelt scraps). As I thought about how to make layers, with different thicknesses, I came up with a new idea I call trough stopping. I poured thin sheets of soap in a slab mold, lifted and folded them into shapely cylinders, then inserted the ends into soap to make closed cylinder “soap molds”. After they set, I pour a different colored soap into the cylinders. What other cylinder shapes can you think of?
