Woven carbon fibre cloth/fabric can be very difficult to cut and handle without it fraying or distorting, which can be problematic when making cosmetic/visual carbon fibre parts. To overcome this, some fabrics are available in stabilised or weave locked form, but these factory stabilised fabrics can be expensive sometimes offer too much or too little stabilisation for a given situation.
