This week, JJ teaches one of her in-person apprentices, Eleni, riding 4-year-old Q as they focus on teaching Q how to respond to the rider’s inside leg.

Using a quarter turn on the forehand on a square, Q begins the process of learning to yield his inside hind leg, which eventually leads to raising his back, dropping his neck and pushing his browband forward and down and seeking the bit.
