This is the Gunshot from ThorpyFX. The Gunshot is a beefy overdrive with the looks to back it up and the brainchild of Adrian Thorpe, a certified military explosives specialist and someone who truly knows the meaning of the term "built like a tank." The pedal is equipped with an ultra-high-fidelity burr-brown op amp and metalized polyfilm capacitors. Aesthetics aside, the tone speaks for itself: the unique calibre control dials in complex harmonic response, much like a high-end tube amplifier. Each guitar and pickup combination has a sweet spot on the calibre control, and it's a cinch to dial in. The Calibre control and the Gain control work together to dial in the harmonic content to an exacting degree, while the Gain knob's function ranges from glassy leads to behemoth crunch. The components are extra special, as they feature precision op-amps, panasonic and wima capacitors, ultra-tight metal film resistors and a rugged true bypass switch tested to thousands of cycles.
