A small town in Sindhudurg District

Situated on the Border of Maharashtra and Goa state

This town is on the Mumbai Goa National Highway and is situated on the bank of river Terekhol.

The main languages spoken here are Marathi, Malavani and Konkani.

Banda has many Hindu temples and the Pimpaleshwar Ganapati temple is one of them.

The name of the city Banda is because of this Jagrut devasthan of the city.

Bandeshwar is the temple of Lord Shree Mahadev.

Old Temple was built around 1910 and recently it has been renovated.

The new temple is made up of Rajasthani Dholpuri Stone or Pink Stone
The floor of the temple is made up of Makrana Marble stone and inlaid with a beautiful design.

On Mahashivaratri day many people will visit this temple. Also, there will be Jatrostava every December month.
