***2002 and newer may have a different lock and unlock setup that utilizes a single wire instead of two separate ones. In that case, I’m not sure what to do, unfortunately.


I installed the remote central locking system on a 2001 ML320 with a dead key fob. The transponder on the MB key FOB still works. This will NOT fix any start error issues, just the ability to lock and unlock the car with a remote. The kit can be bought on amazon for $15, and you can also get another kit with a fold out key and transfer the blade to the new FOB.
