Running session with some Hornby tender drive Models

Описание к видео Running session with some Hornby tender drive Models

The Hornby tender drive models dating from the early 1970s through to early 2000s represent excellent value for money when bought secondhand. Most are robust, reliable, easy to service and repair. One downside is that they rely on traction tyres to get decent pulling power, which is unavoidable. The other downside is that they aren't DCC ready, but that isn't an issue if you run a standard DC analogue layout. The most expensive loco in this video was A3 Tranquil, which cost about £50. The rest were typically £40 or less, or were made from spares in my scrap box and widely available spares online.
