In google type “Bananthimari Temple” and from the temple the hiking route is really easy find out!

Bananthimari Betta is a relatively less visited place. So, if you are looking for something where you can be with yourself and away from all the hustle bustle, this is a good option. And, its close to the city as well, at just about 60km from the Bangalore city.

This route climbs up a hill with the most picturesque valley and a stream that rolls down its slope.
Hillock’s most distinct characteristic lies in its rocks. Grey granite made ruddy by the earth and stained with black. On account of their coarseness, these rocks are not at all slippery, not even when steep. Regardless, they surely get slippery during the monsoons.

The peak of Bananthimari Betta is a rather flat rock surface with stunted scrub. There are no trees or caves that will provide you any form of shelter at this hill. What the flat peak of Bananthi has to offer, however, is the most glorious winds, birds view of water bodies, paddy fields, and breathtaking views that are sure to blow you off your feet.

The Bananthimari Betta is a one day trek and on the peak you will find a Devi Temple, hence the name. Bananthi = mother who is nursing a new born, and Mari = the violent goddess.

The Bananthimari Betta offers a moderate level trek and you should not forget to carry your sunglasses, hat, trekking shoes and water and snacks.
PLEASE DON'T LITTER, CARRY IT ALONG WITH YOU..!
