Glacier National Park, Montana - Driving from Lake McDonald to Bowman Lake - Paved and Dirty Roads

This driving video starts at Lake McDonald Lodge parking lot down Going-to-the-Sun Road towards Apgar and then to the town of Polebridge. This part of the drive is mostly paved and passable by any vehicle. The drive to Bowman Lake from Polebridge is along a rough, dusty, dirt road with blind curves and limited pullouts - this part is best for 4WD, AWD or high clearance vehicles thought regular cars might drive as well with extra caution. Vehicles over 21’ in length and/or vehicle-trailer combinations are prohibited at Bowman Lake due to the nature of road to the campground, and very tight parking areas at each campsite. The traveler will be rewarded with beautiful nature and wildlife along the route and magnificent view at its end.
