It is said that Vindaloo is a Portuguese dish in which meat is marinated in wine & garlic. In Sub continent, Sailors brought the recipe which was adapted by the locals with variations in marination and spices.
Vindaloo continued to change as it spreads to different regions. So like all the other famous dishes.. this has also different versions with different spices.

I have also changed it a little by making it easier to cook .. it’s simply a one pot recipe, no marinade, no bhunify required. All you need is to add all of the ingredients together in a pressure cooker with meat & that is all!
Let your pressure cooker do all the magic!
For additional spice essence, I used 5 different chilli in it. With a balanced combination you can achieve perfect Beef Vindaloo flavour.

Ingredients:
1 kg beef/mutton
1/4 cup Oil
Salt to taste
1 tablespoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon coriander seeds
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp garam masala powder
1/2 teaspoon kaala zeera( caraway)
1 teaspoon sufaid zeera( cumin)

4-5 garlic cloves
2 inch ginger piece
1 large onion
3 ripe red tomatoes
1/2 cup yogurt
3-4 tablespoon lemon juice
(Many ppl use vinegar instead , but I simply love lemon more.)

Chillies :

1 tsp red chilli powder
1 tsp chilli flakes
1/2 tsp black pepper powder
12-15 whole peppercorn
1-2 spicy green chill
2-3 sweet green chilli( optional)

Cilantro and julienne ginger for garnish
