Storm Pia, Vlieland, Dutch lifeboat rescue, Isle of Mull and wildlife.

After enjoying their holiday on their beloved place, Isle of Mull, a lot happened on Isle of Vlieland. Folkert photographed all kinds of birds, Nancy finally saw the Northern Lights (and even with the naked eye) for the first time.
Unfortunately, 2 whales were stranded and storm Pia passed by which would cause high water levels. But Vlieland is well prepared, they have had high(er) water levels before. But even when the high water level is expected at 3am, many islanders are out and about.

Storm Pia, Vlieland, KNRM reddingsacties, Isle of Mull en wildlife.

Na van hun vakantie op onze geliefde plek, Isle of Mull, genoten te hebben gebeurde er veel op Vlieland. Folkert heeft van allerlei vogels gefotografeerd, Nancy eindelijk voor de eerste keer het Noorderlicht (en zelfs met het blote oog gezien).
Er strandde helaas 2 walvissen en storm Pia kwam voorbij die voor een hoge waterstand zou zorgen. Maar Vlieland is goed voorbereid, ze hebben vaker hoge(re) waterstanden gehad. Maar zelfs wanneer de hoge waterstand om 3 uur 's nachts wordt verwacht zijn vele eilanders op pad.
