[Vancouver] Huge Police Car Procession For Fallen RCMP Constable Shaelyn Yang

Captured here is a procession escorting the body of Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Constable Shaelyn Yang, who was tragically killed in the line of duty on the morning of October 18th, 2022. Constable Yang had been called to Broadview Park, in the city of Burnaby, to assist a bylaw officer with checking on a male camping in a tent. During this, an altercation erupted and Yang was fatally stabbed. Yang was also able to shoot her attacker, who was treated in the hospital and has now been charged with murder.

On the evening of October 18th, hundreds of first responders lined the streets of 12th Avenue, as Yang's body was transferred from Burnaby to Vancouver General Hospital. It was a sad, but touching display of support and respect for the fallen officers, who died serving her community. Rest in Peace Constable, your sacrifice will never be forgotten.
