We go over some practical tips and tricks for common issues beginners are likely to run into, such as getting the tones right, and making some sounds that many English and Mandarin speakers won't be used to.

Minor correction: it would probably be better to write “lài” instead of “lâi” for the example sentence. Tone marks on contractions are not very well-defined. You might see LÂI-KHÌ written as: lâi, lăi, lài, or laih depending on the writer and where it is in the sentence. In this case, “lài” is probably better since it's a low tone.
