வால்பாறை சுற்றுலா | Elephant spotted | Drone shots - Heaven Explorer

We are in the 5th episode of Coimbatore series under Tamil Nadu Tourism Collobaration. In this episode you can enjoy Sakthi Thalanar view point, Group of Bison and elephants, Nallamudi Poonjolai and Sholayar Dam.

Todays first stop is at Thalanar viewpoint, it is situated in Thalanar Valley. This is also called as Thalanar snow point for its view of mountains. We get a majestic view of mountains from this viewpoint.

On the way to Nallamudi view point we got a chance to see a group of Elephants and a solo bison. At a distance of 15 km from Valparai Bus Station, Nallamudi Poonjolai is a spectacular vantage point located in Valparai, Tamilnadu. Situated in the Nallamudi Tea Estate, it is one of the splendid places to include in your Valparai Tour Package.

To access this viewpoint, one has to walk uphill through tea plantations of Nallamudi Estate. After nearly a km of a walk across the tea estate, one can witness the raw Valparai and also the Sholayar mountains. The panoramic view of lush green mountains and river valleys makes you feel that the view is worth the walk. During the months between September and February, the viewpoint is surrounded by clouds which makes the place an apt one to take pictures and enjoy the view. Also, visitors may witness fresh signs of elephant dung, or droppings of leopards, etc., indicating the presence of wildlife around while walking towards the viewpoint. It is open 24 hours but is best visited in the afternoon between 1 PM and 3 PM.

Next we visited the famous Soliyar dam, The Solaiyar Dam is part of the Solaiyar Hydroelectric Project. Upper Solaiyar or Upper Sholayar Dam (சோலையாறு Solaiyaaru) is located 20 km from Valparai, a hill station in the Anaimalai Hills of the Coimbatore district, Tamil Nadu India. As it is a part of the hydroelectric project of Tamil Nadu, special permission is required to visit the dam. The reservoir's overflowing waters are let into the Parambikulam Reservoir through the saddle dam
