What is Remittance? | A Guide to Transferring Money Abroad

A remittance is money sent from one person to another, usually overseas, using a third-party provider.

Sending money to another country can be stressful, but as long as you choose your provider carefully and have the correct payment details for who you’re sending to, these payments are safe and secure. According to the Pew Research Center, over $625 billion was remitted worldwide in 2017.
