Growing Olives in South Coastal British Columbia

This video illustrates the viability of growing olives in the mild winter, temperate climate of the Pacific Northwest. Selecting early to mid-season ripening varieties, and growing the plant against a sunny south or west wall or alternatively on favourable warm wind sheltered sites is key to consistent and heavy production. It is bet to plant two or more varieties as cross pollination increases fruit set.
