Joe Olsen and his Stroh’s beer collection-at the Mill in Vicksburg MI.

Michigan Breweriana collector Joe Olsen recently brought some of his amazing Stroh’s brewery advertising to the Mill in Vicksburg,Michigan. He explains the details and rarity of some of these artifacts to Chris Moore,who is painstakingly restoring his hometown paper mill.

Joe has collected Michigan brewery advertising for over 40 years, and it was a pleasure to hear him expound on the history of his early Lion brewery and Stroh’s advertising. This display was held in conjunction with Vicksburg's annual car show and the Mill's first vintage beer show, where they debuted some of their own advertising to the public.

Once restored,The Mill in Vicksburg,Michigan will have an amazing and comprehensive brewery museum, which will celebrate the local and regional breweries of the United States.(It will also house a hotel,conference center, music venue,restaurants and brewery complex!) We thank collectors like Joe, who collect,share and preserve these historic treasures.
