A 1970 426 Hemi Road Runner takes on a 1970 428 Super Cobra Jet Cougar in a quarter mile drag race. Mopar vs Mercury, so who wins? Both cars are competing in the Pure Stock Drags, so modifications are very limited. (See rules below).

However, both motors were conservatively rated at 335 horsepower.

The 1970 426 Hemi Road Runner is the other lane is also very rare as only 287 were built in 1970. The Road Runner with equipped with Plymouth's feared dual quad 426 cubic inch Hemi rated at 425 horsepower. The 426 Hemi is a legendary motor with untold potential due the the hemispherical design of the combustion chambers.
