MEGAS XLR is a 26 episode American comedic Super Robot cartoon series. It aired for two seasons on Cartoon Network before its cancellation. The series is notable for its irresponsible, dim-witted, and destructive protagonist, as well as its contemporary American setting and plentiful references to anime and other media.

The story of MEGAS XLR begins in the year 3037, where the human race has all but lost a war with an alien race known as the Glorft. A pilot, Kiva Andru, attempts to take MEGAS, a highly modified robot stolen from the Glorft, back in time in order to change the outcome of the war. However, Kiva and MEGAS instead accidentally land up in Jersey City, New Jersey in the year 2004. There, MEGAS is found and overhauled by a slacker, Harold "Coop" Cooplowski, based on his love of video games, hot rods, and wrestling. Unable to pilot the modified MEGAS due to Coop's unusual control scheme, Kiva instead resolves to train Coop to fight the Glorft. While the Glorft are presented as Coop's main enemy, most of the episodes are self-contained and focus on unrelated foes.

The series also shares a number of characters with MTV's Downtown, an adult cartoon which had also been directed by Chris Prynoski. In MEGAS XLR, a fictional television network with a similar focus and logo to MTV is frequently subject to collateral damage, probably an in-joke getting comeuppance for Downtown's cancellation.

While MEGAS does have a fair number of attacks which are used frequently, many only appear in a single episode. For the purposes of this video, several attacks which bear a strong resemblance have been considered the same, and most individually used missile launchers have been omitted.
