As if Eka Pada Sirsasana wasn’t tricky enough, there’s a lot of nuanced body placements and movements to keep in mind to make doing the entire vinyasa safer and more accessible.

In this tutorial, we’re showing you how to do the VINYASA FOR EKA PADA SIRSASANA / JUMPING INTO & OUT OF LEG BEHIND THE HEAD POSE. This transition is found in Ashtanga’s Second Series/Intermediate Series and also includes Chakorasana from the Third Series. We break down each part of the vinyasa with the traditional cues and Sanskrit count and share what to be aware of as you’re starting to incorporate jump throughs in your practice. You’ll learn the specific placement for various parts of the body to make the vinyasa, and the rise into Chakorasana, more available in your body. You’ll also see what not to do so you can understand how to safely access different parts of this vinyasa.
