A first time visit to the South Downs Light Railway at Pulborough Garden Centre on Bank Holiday Monday 27th May 2019.

The railway was holding its steam gala featuring three locomotives including LNER A4-class 4-6-2 No.4498 "Sir Nigel Gresley" from the Eastleigh Lakeside Railway. This locomotive is a former resident of the SDLR. Also running were Exmoor-built 0-4-2T "Pulborough" and 'Bagnall' 0-4-0ST+T No.1 "Alice" with Battery-Operated Tram-Engine "Anna" shunting in the yard.
