In the main event of Impact 2014, Seiya Sanada faces off against Great Muta, with tensions rising between the two during an American expedition, leading to Sanada attacking Muta from behind with a steel chair, due to feeling overshadowed by Muta's arrival in TNA, a company which Sanada at the time held the X Division Championship for and was blazing his own trail. Now the two men will square off one-on-one as Sanada is looking to step out from the shadow of Muta and cleave his own path, while Muta seeks revenge for Sanada's disrespectful actions, leaving both men desiring to prove a point and establish themselves at the top of the food chain.
