On Thursday May 9th Canadian Pacific 4-6-4 Hudson 2816 resumed its Final Spike Steam Tour. On this day the engine and train ran west out of Chicago to Davenport Iowa for its next display day in the quad-cities. On a very wet and windy day the class H-1b Hudson put on an excellent show running west through rural Illinois and then south along the Mississippi River through Iowa. The train was a true site to see crossing the swing bridge at Sabula.
