2816 Route of the Hiawatha

On Sunday May 5th and Monday May 6th 2024 newly restored Canadian Pacific H1-b Hudson 2816 continued on its Calgary to Mexico City Final Spike Steam tour. On this portion of the tour over the CPKC system the locomotive and train were running on the former Milwaukee Road River subdivision between St. Paul, MN to Chicago, Illinois where 2816 would make its next public display day in the Chicago suburbs. 2816 and her steam crew ran from St. Paul, MN to Portage Wisconsin on Sunday the 5th and then continued on to Bensenville, Illinois on Monday the 6th. Also featured in this video are night shots on Wednesday May 8th of 2816 and train at Elmwood Park and River Grove when the crew wyed the train in preparation for the journey to Davenport Iowa the following morning.
