Welcome back to The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall, a role-playing game originally made by Bethesda for the MS Dos. For this playthrough, we are using the Unity remake of the game and a lot of mods to enhance the experience. The game involves navigating the sensitive political landscape of the Illiac Bay, a region of Tamriel on the fictional planet of Nirn comprising of the countries within the bay as well as the various fragmented powers surrounding it on both High Rock and Hammerfell. We have sent to the place on a mission by our Emperor Uriel Septim VII to investigate two curious instances, the shade of King Lysandus that roams the streets of Daggerfall at night and a letter that he sent to the Queen of Daggerfall a few years ago that never reached her. Despite being a dungeon crawler at heart, Daggerfall places a lot of emphasis upon the player's individual exploration as choosing one among the various political factions in the region as they navigate the complex mess that is the Illiac Bay. In this playthrough, we will be playing as a Spellcaster and will shift our focus towards the Mages' Guild and the Temple of Kynareath.

After getting ourselves excommunicated from The Temple of Kynareath, we headed onwards towards broader horizons and decided to join The Order of Arkay so that we may explore the other half of magic that the Mages' Guild finds itself reluctant to teach us. Since we would mostly have learned about spells and spell making in Kyne's temple, choosing Arkay's Order actually allows us to learn how to craft potions and poisons and enchant materials. Hence, we travelled over to the Ilessan Hills.

Once there, The Order of Arkay graciously accepted us into their fold and to thank them, we decided to complete a few missions for them. The first task that they had for us was a rather simple one called 'The Haunted House' where we had to travel to The Gaerfield Residence in Oxmarket to exorcise a spirit that had been haunting the house.

When we headed there, we found a malevolent spirit indeed in the form of a ghost that proclaimed itself to be the spirit of the ancestor of the person who built the house. Before passing on to the afterlife, he assured us that he would return and that the house had now been claimed by the ghosts of fathers past.

We teleported back to the quester to claim our prize and complete another quest for them. Impressed with our performance, the Quester handed us a more difficult task in the form of 'Hunt for Undead.' We were supposed to head over to the Ruins of Tower Yeomcroft in order to cease the unlife of an undead and sprinkle holy water over the remains so that we could manage to exorcise it for good.

The tower itself seemed to have been constructed by a Mage of sorts for it was full of Teleporting Walls and secret passages and trapdoors and other areas that would not have been accessible without magic. So we took it upon ourselves to solve the mystery of the teleporters first. While we succeeded in doing that, we quickly realised that the undead that we were searching for wasn't behind the trapdoor linked to the teleporters. At least the most difficult part of the dungeon had already been taken care of.

So we decided to explore the rest of the place. We entered a huge tower-like structure with a disgraced throne and lots of doors. Journeying through the labyrinthian structures, being invisible, we encountered a lot of harpies and humans in the place. The only creatures that could see us were the imps and the Skeletons for they are immune to the magic of illusion and can see right through invisibility.

We fought multiple monsters until the time that we chanced into Ghost that we were meant to hunt. At that moment in time, we realised that the Ghost had its own host of Skeletal Warriors protecting him. We had to fight them all off and we did a rather splendid job of it, managing to not die in the process.

When the dust settled, the Ghost, apparently named Druigod, who had claimed the dungeon to be his home had died. He promised to return, but he probably didn't expect us to sprinkle Holy Water over his remains, which would exorcise him properly and forever.
