Personent Hodie is a late medieval hymn for Christmas, the Feast of the Holy Innocents, and Epiphany. It comes from a collection of hymns published in 1582 called Piae Cantiones. Although that is the year of the publication, it is possible that it originated even earlier and may possibly be from the 12th century.
